Overview:
Sabyasachi has a M.Des. in Visual Communication from NID Ahemdabad, and has worked in the visual design and communication industry for 36 years. He has seen the industry transform itself over the course of these decades and has himself been a part of multiple notable projects in a creative role.
Sabyasachi is an incredibly adaptable person who has continually transformed himself and his skill set as the industry has changed over time. He has been a part of numerous projects over the years, which are extremely varied in scope and form. For instance, from 1990 to 1992 he was the Senior designer for the Calcutta Gallery at the Victoria Memorial, designing a gallery displaying 300 years of Calcutta's history. From 1993 to 1994 he worked on the design of the Computers Today magazine for Living Media as an Art Director, coming up with the design in only a month and making it appealing to new readers. He also instituted an art department at Spectrum Magazine during his time there from 1995 to 1998, and worked on the detailed design for Design Digest magazine, among other projects. He was also the creator of the design of the Hindustan Times Mumbai edition, joining in 2005 and building the design department from the ground up at the very start. He has also worked on the redesign of the Telegraph newspaper in his capacity as an Art Editor from 2014 to 2022, providing an experienced creative direction to the newspaper.
